As some of you know, I'm off work at the moment unwell. Yesterday was a lovely day so I thought I'd nip out for some leisurely fresh air and exercise.

go so far along the beach, and then storm started to brew.

You need to take up sea fishing and be on the beach really early of a morning when the sky is all brown, orange and purple when a storm is coming towards you, or in the early hours on a clear night watching shooting stars, or of an evening in summer with crimson sunsets. I love the beach at those times, but unfortunately I live about the furthest point in the country from it.

Best of it is, that cloud appeared from nowhere. From clear blue skies to that took maybe five minutes. Then the wind whipped up to nearly a gale and there was a couple of rumbles and flashes of thunder and a bit of rain, then within 10 minutes it was all done.

I joked to the wife that the storm was probably meant to be in Scarborough and was running late, so it was wellying it past as quick as it could.
