Can you put a hatchet or machete in his right hand, and keep the severed head in the left?

      I like your thinking.

I kind of had in mind to put it at the end of the driveway for Halloween, but there is a primary school close by, so it could be just a bit OTT, which I really wouldn't want.

although I admire the skills behind the sculpture, I would never want one of them in my garden...!

That's the problem, I don't want it in mine either.

Edit.. I did have some fun with it last week though.
The mum-in-law has been away for a month, but on the evening of her return, I left it on her front door step with a flag held in the right hand saying 'welcome home'

Who put the M and the N next to each other on the keyboard. I guess that it makes a change from me always writing 'te' instead of 'the'.

Around my way, ALL sculptures you say follow one of three themes. You will either see squirels, foxes, hedge hogs etc carved out of old tree trunks, crucibles, giant cogs etc made out of scrap steel, or anchors and old boats and stuff. That's because we have lots of countryside, a coast with a fishing heritage, and steel works.

If get in my car and drive 100 miles to the peak district and wander round any of their parks, I'll see sculptures of wildlife again.

There is a running theme, lack of originality and imagination.

Eddie's sculptures are different. Each one he posts pictures of looks unique to me. I can't look at one of Eddie's and think I saw something like that while out and and about.

I think that, coupled with the skill that goes into them, is what makes them brilliant.

I'd definitely put one of Eddie's sculptures in my garden:)

Ziggy is looking and seeing his own reflection, or in his own words "a mini me" Okay he didn't say that, but he was about to.;)

Clueless, many thanks for the kind words.:)

It's interesting here you talk about common themes. Since starting to play around with wood and sculpture, I have promised my self that I will never carve any mushrooms, bears, owls, or the green man. I loathe all of them.
