Check your bank statements......

I do urge everyone to do this regularly....

I checked mine this morning and 'Google' has taken out 3 payments totalling£500

I asked the bank for more information and they said it looks suspicious so will return the money back and it has now been passed to fraud.

I did a lot of checking to see how and where it was taken and I still can't work it out.

 

thank you for the Tez. I would notice amounts of that size now. Over what period of time did these 3 deductions occur please?

My mate got a message once on X-Box live, saying 'I'm going to hack you' or something like that. He fell out with another mate over it, believing (incorrectly) that the other mate was playing a prank and had stolen my mate's password. Our other mate denied it of course.

A couple of weeks later, my mate went to draw some money out, and was told he couldn't because he'd exceeded his overdraft and his account was frozen. His bank account had been drained dry

He got all his money back off the bank because it was taken fraudulently and without my mate's knowledge, but not before my mate was practically accused of fraud himself.

 

Shocking.

The payments were all taken within a week.

 

They would be lucky to find that much in my C/A towards the end of the month Tez.

 

Another issue is when you go overdrawn and occur extra charges and extra hassle caused because of it grrrr, thankfully managed to avoid that this time.

 

I check my bank statements regularly - touch wood , no problems.
Also check your mobile phone bills . Reviewed my wifes over this year and found a payment of £1 was taken as "a parcel " ( ?) every Sunday at 2 in the morning ! Vodafone ran a software check and gave us a new sim card , so hopefully they have stopped . They also gave us £10 back - so it does pay to politely complain .

 

do you have any connection with Google or was it totally out of the blue?

 

Out of the blue - I bought something via them back in 2009 and have a youtube video that uses google adsense but it's a free service - which i've now stopped to be on the safe side.
