I didn't mention England, I said UK. Scotland would be in NE and NW UK, along with Northumberland and Cumbria etc.

Scotland has not yet won its independence. Until it does, I'll always class it as being in the north of the UK.

Haven't met any GC members yet, would love to catch up with some of you though.

It always strikes me how gardeners as a whole are such a sociable, friendly bunch no matter where you are. Whether it's a neighbour, work colleague or even someone you meet when miles away from home, there seems to be an instant rapport from this shared interest. :)

Just about EXACTLY what I was thinking. I would love to meet everybody, except I think I'd feel a bit shy!
We could have an April/June/Aug/October meet based around famous gardens of the UK or especially good garden centres. Minimal organisation required, a list of times and places, then see who turns up!

                I've met:-
Kandy, Steve R, Bananaman, Roders, Jazmine, JWK, Moyra, Greenquisenequeen, Newey, Miraflores, Folly Mon, Armandii, Webmaster, Kristen, Strongylodon, Ziggy, Willow and about four (I think) who are no longer on here.

Apologies to any I may have missed. :love30: :)

I hope to see new and old faces in May. We shall be open again on Saturday 25th (last day of Chelsea Flower Show - we're much, much, much, much cheaper :heehee: ) and Sunday 26th. It's Bank Holiday weekend.
We'll have the usual guided walk round at midday on Saturday followed by sarnies . You're welcome to stay all day and join us for an Indian in the evening. I think we shall be having the Flamenco dancers again. :dbgrtmb:

Yes I think I know who you mean Shiney, two are now working full time :)
I can vouch for having a wonderful day at Shineys and a fab meal at the Indian! I didn't see any Flamenco dancers, maybe this year?

PS there are many variables between knowing a person through the posts and in person. Basically in person there can be factors that cannot be perceived in writing.
