    Hi all,

Planted this from a mixed pack of perennials - but of course there was no list of plants on the packet!

They seem to take up a lot of room and flat on the ground - didn't flower this year.

Don't suppose anyone has an idea what it is?

Ahh but the mystery one's leaves are all flat on the ground - my foxgloves have come up about 6 inches, like in your pick Spruce. Plus mystery leaves are more glossy.

Foxglove rosettes pin themselves flat to the floor at the end of their first year, before mounding up late winter, ready to produce their big flower spike in spring/early summer.

I don't know why they do it. Maybe they've figures that doing so increases the chances that they might get buried in a nice cosy blanket of leaves. I don't know.

I think its to stop other plants from growing so stops the competition for food water and light, so do you think foxglove as well //
