As I slide ever closer to 40, I am noticing a few changes, none of which really bother me, but some confuse me ever so slightly; it seems that the white hairs are slowly recruiting some of their neighbours, as I keep spotting more and more (the right side of my head seems to be greying quicker than the left??) - not bothered in the least by this to be fair - even if I went white or silver overnight, it wouldn't bother me in the least.

However, I am confused as to why my body feels that it is going to need bushy eyebrows?? I seem to be trimming the sticky-up, sticky-out ones more and more often; also on the hair theme, I've found the odd wee hair in my ears (swiftly tugged out), and then there is the increase in nasal hair.

Just what is about to happen to me that my body is going to need these extra hairs to defend itself?

Also, which is worse - making an involuntary noise as you bend down to pick something up, or catching yourself making that noise?

And finally - I seem to be getting more and more house/garden proud, and less and less tolerant of clutter or stuff that isn't 'just so' - - does this settle out, or am I going to develop OCD by the time I am 60?

My first grey hair arrived on my head when I was just 22, although now, more than 15 years later, I still have a good head of very dark hair, all natural too I might add. Can't say the same for the beard though, which is mostly grey, with just enough brown and ginger in it to make me fail to qualify as a great sage.

Tis a Terrible, Terirrible thing FC.

That sudden moment when you are looking at a lady & you realise certain parts of your anatomy are not doing what they used to do, only just the week before, about 8 o'clock.

Then the sight goes, all the things that you used to be able to marvel at close up now needs glasses:doh:

Nose, ear, eyebrows & throat hairs seem to be having a field day, then comes the hairy hands, the needing a nap in the afternoon & a sudden re kindling of train spotting & building model aeroplanes.

And thats just the start of it.:runforhills:

I feel a dose of Grecian 2000 and Cod Liver Oil/Omega 3 tablets coming on.

Resist the temptation FC. Take the graceful acceptance route.

FC, Nasal/ear hair is a big no no with the ladies. So is attitude. Never think you are old even if you are. You are far from it BTW! Buy a softtop, wear silk and never talk gardening even if your married to Charlie Dimmock. Don't worry you'll be fine mate. :dbgrtmb:
