Surprisingly Good Year for Parsnips?

    And some carrots too.....

    Gladiator parsnips are the biggest ever and a fair few of my Autumn King carrots too :dancy:

    These were grown in the same raised bed and well established before we had an infestation of chickens which destroyed my leeks,swedes and beetroot!

    Not had parsnips for a while, but had me some great horseradish along the side of the stream near us.
    Carrots not a one this year, Eskimo, Autumn King, and a rainbow selection all came to nothing. Or should I say didn't come at all.:mad:

    Me too. Trouble is sometimes we don't get one until well into December, and I have plenty of Parsnips to eat ... perhaps I'll chance digging up some of my Gladiator
