    Minus 2 here !!!! and very thick frost , only starting to thaw out now in the sunshine so glad I put the banana away last weekend

    I think I may get a paraffin heater for the greenhouse but which one !!!

    There was ice in the Bird Baths this morning but none in the pond despite it being in the lower part of the garden. So just like almost every body else it was blue skies with hardly a breeze, and you could actually feel the warmth of the Sun. But right now as the Sun starts to drop towards the horizon the temperature is also dropping and now it's 42f. But with the "promise" of rain and wind on the way for tonight I don't think the temperature will drop much further.:coffee:

      Pity you don't live near me as I have one going for nothing. It was given to me and needs a good home.

      Today started off frosty and remained cold but we had beautiful sunshine all day and although the temp didn't top 43F if felt quite warm in the sun.

        Minimum temperature this morning was 3C (37F) towards dawn. No frost or ice!

        Nice day as well, with a top temperature of 9C (48F).

        Now it's 6C (43F)

        A calm but cloudy day today but this evening is all change, rain driven on a building gale has stopped our boats sailing until at least late tomorrow. So winter starts here for the island with disruption to on/off island movement. 8C right now.

                  Almost the same here Jenny, a light breeze and some cloud though here and currently 6.1 degrees....

                  My dad has just texted me and said its quite breezy where he is and they've had plenty of rain last night and this morning; he lives in Northwich, Cheshire

                  I see from the forecast though that there is rain and wind moving in from the west for the next few days, we're forecast rain for later and tomorrow

                  Yesterday was a lovely day after the frost had cleared away, temperature topped 12.5 degrees in the afternoon sun..:)
