2012 Seed Swap

Right, I've sifted through the amazing collection of seeds and picked out a couple and popped some more back in, it'll be on its way to Robajobs today. I'll post back later to confirm

 

You all sound like you are having an absolute blast with this seed swap!! It's a joy to read the replies

I'll keep my eyes peeled for next years swap so I can join in.

 

I will be starting a new list this week ,just to put your name on, Then we can decide after Christmas when to start it going. As quite a few of us will know better what surplus seeds we have ,plus any new purchases.
I am thinking early March my self,I think its a bit pointless putting it straight back out,as we may not have anything new to add until spring.

 

Anyone who has not yet had it, i.e. doesn't have their name on the list, could still add themselves presumably?

That would be fine ,if they are genuine members, there are 1/2 people on the list who have only signed up to the seed swap, no contribution to the forum as a whole, if they read this post ,place a comment on this thread so we know you are active.

 

The parcel has been posted this morning to Robajobs, new envelope too......cost £2.70 1st class

Hi I have pm Jenny to pm you as I am waiting on some to answer as you have, at least 2 clearly not active.

 

Yeap got the pm, and replied.

 

Not sure if I'm one of the people you are referring to but I'm still here too!

 

1. Maximum hold time before passing on parcel, unless previously arranged is 3 days (ties in with rule 3)
2. Message person after you on the list before sending parcel and to the thread so we're all kept in the loop
3. If no response to a message, move on the next person, after 3 days (Works with rule 1)
4. Contact details held by me Pamsdish for everyone, as an emergency(name, email, address and a phone if you wish) but it's not compulsory
5. If you miss your turn, then you miss your turn, you wait til it comes round again.
6. New joiners go to the back of the queue , i.e behind the person who currently has it ( which will mean keeping the thread up to date on who has is, keep it public, if you have it you post)
7. Just keep us all informed, maybe a role call either on the thread or by me PMing, maybe with 2 chances to reply then your name is in red and after round of the parcel your off the list till you get in touch then rule 6 comes into force.
8. Please, no out of date seeds.
9. Please make sure you will be able to send the parcel on in three days, this will involve getting to a post office. If you think this might not be possible please ensure that someone will be able to do it for you if for example your taken ill. The parcel must move on always as other people are waiting for it.
