    Hi GB

I had a aunt and cousin that lived in Meols, then moved to Hoylake , so happy memories as a kid, we always went down to the beach.

    Enjoy

Mum - this is a pic from last year! I have planted lots of perennials this yr so looks very different but gives you some idea of scale. I enjoy making my grass look tip top so only allow my 2 year old 10 mins at a time!

I have always enjoyed gardening but got into growin my own flowers and some veg in last 3 years - find it very relaxing and therapeutic!

I had a wildflower bed this year which if I'm honest isnt really my cup of tea - now replanted with lots of perennials (verbena bon, tall purple one) and plenty of others!

Hope you find this of interest!

Ah, the joys of a bag of chips and an ice cream on Parkgate front.

Thank you for posting a picture, GB; you have a lovely space there! :dbgrtmb: And thank you for answering all my nosey questions!

I scattered a couple of packets of wildflower seeds in one area of my garden last Spring and they came up beautifully in the summer; looked fabulous ... until they began to die back and then it all looked a bit ... wild :heehee: (tatty?). Mind you, for the area of my garden I put them in, it was the right place. I can see why they may not have been quite to your taste :)

Here are mine when they were in full flush:

Like you, I find gardening therapeutic, but I also like the excitement of seeing what pops up (as in the case of the wild flower seeds).

I have had an attempt at growing vegetables, but my experience is limited. This is a picture of one of my daily pickings this year.

Can't claim the tomatoes were as a result of any effort on my behalf ... they just popped up on their own!

Welcome, I'm just up the road in Heswall, not far away! Growing from seed is an artform in itself, one that I need practice at for sure :blue thumb:

I definitely agree with you there, although before I tried growing I presumed it would be a lot more difficult than it actually is.

Not tried anything too adventurous yet, put some acer seeds in my propagator yesterday so will see how that goes!

I don't reckon you're that old. Your taste in music suggests you you were a teenager in the mid to late 70s. I reckon you're about 50.
