I don't know about average, but different to most. We don't argue, what's the point, nothing is gained by it.

Two good words for every man to learn:-

Wouldn't work for me. If I said 'yes dear' or any words to that effect, she would just demand to know what I meant by that.

              I would hate a 'yes man' ... sorry, Michael ... as I would a 'yes woman' ...

Victoria, saying "Yes, dear" is not the same as being a "yes man" ;)

Shiney, you certainly have a great attitude and good practice around the entertainment issue. When "his" family came for holidays. I would, do the shopping, the cooking, the table setting etc. Would get so annoyed that he could not see that guests needed their drinks refreshed. I 'd say to him you mom needs....... and he look at me like I have two heads.

Tone of voice is everything. :heehee:

I didn't mention anything about actually doing whatever she may have said! :heehee:

Many years ago (over 45 years) we were having a 'discussion' about something (can't remember what) and I disagreed with what she was saying. I then went on to point out that what she had explained wasn't logical. I shall never forget her reply: "I'm trying to have an argument so what do you think you are doing bringing logic into the discussion?". Then we both rolled up laughing. :snork:

Since then we may have had different viewpoints (quite often) but don't see anything worth arguing about :love30: :)

I just do as I'm told and everything's fine. :mute:

I do remember from childhood though, some classic Christmas arguments between my parents.

On one famous occasion, my mate and I were sitting in the front room, innocently watching some Boxing Day TV when dad returned home (late) from a lunchtime pint or three down the local.

Mother was not best pleased and a lively 'discussion' ensued, which soon escalated into a real humdinger of a row.

Me and my mate had heard it all before (his parents were prone to the odd lively debate too), so we just carried on watching telly. A few seconds later, the half eaten carcass of the Christmas dinner goose came flying through the door and bounced across the floor in front of us, coming to rest in front of the TV.

Now THAT is a proper Christmas argument.

Whenever I meet up with my old mate, we still laugh about it to this day. :snork:
