It was sycamore park in great Sutton. Had some right bargains, esp the perennials that have gone over, and the grasses.

They did have some stuff that was expensive like trachycarpus, yukka's and phormiums and cordylines. If you want stuff like that, then the garden house on the Chester high road opposite mini monsters is vgfm!

I think I shall try to expand my fuchsia's and put a few conifer plants out the front of the property. This would make Mrs. L happy.:love30:

I want some Alpine plants at some point next year. Wont be making a rock garden lol, dont have the space for that. But i think I could probs get some containers in. Also some of these plants dont mind full shade so would be ideal. But still researching them, soo many interesting varieties about and some are amazing shapes and produce awesome flowers.

Quite like these Rosette ones [IMG] (Orostachys Spinosa)

Alot of Sempervivum types look pretty cool too like this one [IMG] (Sempervivum reinhard)

Just researching at the moment though to see whats available on the market and which plants like what so i know whats suitable for my garden

            LOL
I think i'm mostly becoming attracted to alpine plants because theyre things we dont really see very often and also species like in Longk's pic are just something else lol. If i had one of those plants I'd probs just sit infront of it the whole day looking at it in adimiration

Just googled it Longk, do the seeds have to be ordered from oversea's?

Sal - if you take a hike up the Southern Alps when you're in NZ you may get lucky! It grows on the scree slopes.

If you're after Alpines then you could try Pottertons Nursery which specialises in them. I've had half a dozen alphine Daphnes off them which are not easy to find :blue thumb:

Ooo, now there's an idea for some more plants I could buy which wouldn't take up much space :heehee:
