    My Mother grew "Lime Green" for a number of years when it was all the rage, but I agree that type is boring.

    Sylvestris, and a number of others, have significantly large leaves, which is handy in a foliage border (mine are in my Exotic border), quite apart from the pretty flowers of Sylvestris :)

    Not the deliciously night-scented white alatas, IMO. Refined, elegant and and an essential part of the garden, I'd say. Not bothered about the rest, though.

      N. sylvestris, stunning. Love them....but after growing them for a few years instead of N. alatus, I realised how much I was missing the more understated alatus! Best for scent without a doubt and can be squashed in somewhere or other in any garden.
