I am a keen grower of soft fruit that I grow on my allotment plots. I have lots of videos but not sure if its allowed to share a link. They dont like sharing on another forum. Also have a website for our allotment group that I manage.

I'm in Clarendon park in Leicester. Sounds like you have lots of cultivation space then!

Thanks for the welcomes. When I know more about the rules I will perhaps share my videos and photos from my allotments and garden.

I am currently growing 21 varieties of strawberries, 4 rhubarb varieties and lots more.

This might sound like a daft question, but how do you keep track of which variety is which?

I've been building up a collection of soft fruits, more blueberries than anything else, and I set about with all the best intentions of remembering which type was which, but then labels vanish/fade and now I have no idea which is which.

I imagine its even harder with strawbs, because they're not even well enough behaved to stay where you put them. Mine have wandered 6 ft or more in one season.

          Hi all,
Great question about keeping track of your plants. Mine are labeled and the ones that get lost get put into a unlabeled area. My strawberry patches consist of one mixed and one labelled on posts with each row having a different variety.

I have approx 300 plants in the allotment and 700 in pots. I have grown some from seed and they have survived and growing in the polytunnel despite no watering for 3 months.

Yes I have got some white strawberries grown from seed but they are an alpine variety note the pine ones.

Hi Julie & welcome to Gardeners Corner:sign0016:

No problem with putting a link up as long as it not to a commercial operation.

Although I think our anti spam software won't let you put up pictures till you've got more posts:)
