    Despite being an 'external' ('weatherproof') sensor, I wrap it in polythene before poking into the soil of a pot with a label marked 'control' (otherwise after a few beers days I'll forget and start wondering what seeds are in there) which is kept watered the same as everthing else.

    EDIT: In case it wasn't clear above, these thermometers store max/min data for the main unit and the additional sensor, so you're effectively getting 2 max/min thermometers for your money.

      I sowed my seed yesterday, ailsae and kelsaes from a swap with Scrungee (Thank you)

      Mammoth Improved (Red and White) from Robinsons.

      And a few Bedfordshire champions too.

      All in a heated windowsill propogator, no lights for me this year so all growth will be natural.

        It'll be interesting to see how the Kelsae and Mammoth's compare.
