    Hi Jenny

99% in between the frames just about 20 individuals on top of the frames , because its warmish not all clustered together tightly , covered about 5 frames in the middle of the hive , so I am happy with that.

Before I opened up the hives I watched bees coming in and out of the hive but only one or two at a time.

No Jenny sorry , the Carbon Dioxide in your breath makes them go on defence alert and they will fly at your face trying to sting you they bounce off my veil on the bee suite its like a ping as they bounce off , or they sit on the veil trying to get at me , can be scary when you have about 5 or 6 all doing the same thing but staying calm is best  they can make quite a noise, if it gets bad I walk away fro 5 mins let them all calm down doesnt happen that often .

I have had in the past a old bee suit that one or two got in that was funny thinking back it wasnt at the time as they where inside the trousers , but I treated myself to the top of the range since and its really good it has velcro bits that cover the zip openings.

That's sad Spruce, after all the help you are giving them to get through their toughest time.
I just remember the bee I rescued in the tour bus in Bath last June. Everyone else was going mental but I was somehow able to pick it up, it was panting and obviously stressed. Maybe I was lucky I guess,

        Hi Jenny
You have to remember at all time its a wild insect and need to be treated with respect thats were people go wrong.

Glad you rescued the bee though I hope it managed to find its way home

          Ziggy,
can you put the #286 video cluster in the Media thread so that we can go and watch it there please?
If that's OK with Spruce and HQ,
          thank you,
          Jenny

It's brilliant to hear the Bees are doing okay even if they can be a little cranky when they want. I'll be following this thread with great interest now and as the year goes on.:snork:

I'm going to set aside a bit of "me time " to go off to the Media thread to watch a few more Video clips later,

It's beautiful Loli. Quite exquisite; imagine the effort and dedication that went into the building of that,
