    ... and Tulip and Daffodil bulbs, they like those, grrrrrr!

    I suppose they would taste OK, I've had pigeon pie which wouldn't be too different I guess.

        Since Oscar is no longer with us the squirrel population has increased considerably. He didn't like them digging in the garden but was happy to let them feed under the bird feeder.

        Once the population reached half a dozen, a friend came in with his rifle and he enjoyed his squirrel pie. We now allow two squirrels in the garden and they don't do any damage as they get enough from the dropped bird food.

        John, you need to find someone who likes squirrel pie and is happy to get them from your garden.

          Squirrels are classed as vermin in the UK Mum, so yes you are allowed to cull them. My brother shoots them.

          No problem here, there are none on the island. :)

            I've just checked it out Longk. Yes the red squirrels are protected, so culling is of grey squirrels only.

              They'll need protecting if I catch 'em in my pots!
              They're as rare as rocking horse doo doo around here though...........

                We have plenty squirrels as we live surrounded by woods etc. Our cats seem to keep them treed, thus stressed. We do have nut trees that they eat. Not any issues here with digging bulbs up. But our real issue is they have bit through our break lines in our dullie, thank goodness caught it just in the drive way before getting on the street. I have used have a heart trap to remove, but you have to travel miles to release or they do find their way back.
