Quite a nice day, with some blue sky and Sun [not a blazing Sun but it brightened the day] and very little breeze. Having said that I had a busy day so wasn't able to appreciate it as much as I wanted, but it was nice to see it. The temperature now is 45f.:coffee:

It's all going crazy out there folks.....first we had the extreme floods, now we've got spring weather in mid-winter!!!!, the birds are beginning to think its Spring, I've had blue tits and great tits actively investigating bird boxes today and I have seen a collared dove collecting twigs!!

A lovely, no fantastic day here today, no breeze, sunny spells and dry and get this the temperature reached 15.3 degrees (59.5 f) this afternoon :hate-shocked: , yes 15.3 degrees in January!!!!!, it's currently 8.1 degrees (46.5 f) out there.

Today wan't just a one off either, Thursday reached 13.6 degrees & yesterday it reached 14.3 degrees.....the world's gone mad, we'll probably get snow at Easter this year at this rate :heehee:

Under clear skies the temperature continued to fall during the night and is currently down to a chilly 3.9 degrees (39.02 f), a bit more the norm for January :snork:

It's forecast to be mild and dry again today though and for most of the following week!!!, looking good for the garden drying out a bit so I can get something done

It's still rather dark out there but we have a fairly thick mist and a temp of 41F. The forecast is also dry for the week with night time frost from midweek.

Bilbo,Yes the birds are in full swing at the moment. We had a nice walk round our local water on xmas day and saw two mallards mating on the water but by the time i got my camera out they had finished the deed:snork:.Last week two collared doves were following each other along the top of one of the garages in the distance from my kitchen window, have had a pair of blue tits following each other round our garden, but may have just been feeding together, and overwintering male Blackcap feeding on our Calicarpa berries, and yesterday morning heard the dawn chorus for the first time this year,oh and my snowdrops are showing through the soil in the garden:dancy: and have hellebores in flower:yes:

Yesterday, was sunny all day, although this morning we have thick mist with a temperature of 44.1f and it is 68.4f indoors, loverly:yahoo:

Temperature is now up to 4.9 degrees but as it came light the mist rolled in and it looks quite eerie at the moment in the low light levels.....:snork::)
