    Hey mate,
    Can you remind me what this is rooting its way up my window frame.
    You sent me a cutting back in the summer and I think it was some kind of Hylocereus?

      Blimey, what have you been feeding that thing? it's a Selenicereus pete although not sure on the species

      OK thanks, what made me think Hylocereus:dunno:

      I actually made two plants from the piece you sent me, this one has a single shoot the other has two shoots of equal length but shorter.
      It appears to be climbing well and rooting as it goes, I cant move it now its fixed itself to the window frame.:eeew:
      Must try out this tagging thing Aesculus

        I think all my plants are stunted due to low light levels... I have a feeling that they're all just going to explode come April in the greenhouse

          It's putting out aerial roots?
          The more that I read about cacti and succulents, the more I find myself getting sucked in.

          Yep, they do. In nature they climb, either up trees or over rocks I believe.

          The cacti version of ivy.:)

            I'm sure you will also find a difference in the actual quality of the growth once they start to get strong light from all sides.:)

              Yes there's lots of very weak spindly growth which will need removing
