Heritage/Heirloom Veg

    Maybe a few for 2013 but both myself and Carol want to try growing veg with that "old fashioned taste".

    The plan is to grow the bulk of modern veg up the allotment and gradually introduce older varieties into our modest garden plot and see how it does.

    2014 will be most realistic as this years garden plan is all but finalised.

    I've found a few sites offering heritage/heirloom seed, any you good folk could suggest would be very much appreciated

    I love Shetland Black Potatoes, and grew some a couple of years ago, may grow some more this year.

    I got mine from a supplier on Ebay

        Some of Chiltern Seeds stuff is heritage / heirloom, as well....

        Just found out some of the stuff I'm already growing is heritage, now there's a result! :dancy:

          I do have some to offer, not many of each but they can be grown on to increase stock.

          Pea : Champion of England.

          Pea : Ne Plus Ultra.

          Bean : Bridgwater.

          Bean : Painted Lady.

          Cardoon. (only got a few, but one plant will do ya:biggrin: )

          Pm me if you want any, it might only be 3 each depending on demand.
