I agree, and that is "normal" on other forums.

For me I think that the Start Conversation that comes on when you click on the Avatar should automatically quote the message being "replied" to - easy enough to delete it if not required.

Or a drop-down menu of "Actions" or somesuch.

I just think having it in the User Info Panel at the left, and in the message footer, is taking up space for something that is rarely used. (And, for myself, I not infrequently get messages from people [unknown to me] exepecting me to answer their questions, instead of them asking them in public space - and thus getting a fuller set of advice for a range of people.

As more such things are added in the future (and I am sure useful ones will be) the space gets more and more cluttered ...

Rarely used features should not be in the main-space, i.e. if it takes two clicks to get to them, and they are used once in a blue-moon, then I think that is best, and keeps the interface "uncluttered"

:ideaIPB: That's why I haven't seen it! I never go to the front page. :) (Can't see any point in it)

That's been mentioned a few times on different posts. I'm sure they will get it sorted - if it's possible. :blue thumb:

I wish there was a way to automatically alternate my 'Mood' between 'Spaced Out' and 'Hung Over'.

I don't have a problem with Disagree. If I consider some advice to be inaccurate I would like to be able to indicate that on the post (and don't mind if people do that to me). People searching for something may only read "Plant your begonia tubers concave side down" ... a Disagree button helps there (I'm starting to have doubts about whether I have managed to get it the wrong way round now !!)

One up from that I think if you have a "Count" of the Likes then a count of the Dislikes seems prudent. Right now we have two systems for Likes. I prefer the old one that shows the first few names, and then "n others" rather than just a "See the list" (because, for me, if I see regular's whose opinion I respect in the short-list that adds credence to the O/P's post, whereas with a hidden list I am never going to bother to actually click it)

Definitely a noticeable delay now (I don't remember noticing a delay before) between pressing REPLY [at foot of message] and the quoted text appearing in the Reply Box. Also the AJAX on POST REPLY seems longer (but subjective opinion only, not knowing what was in the upgrade I didn't consciously time it on the old version. I do remember being pleased how snappy it used to be)

My thoughts exactly. I don't suppose any of us would enjoy being disagreed with but it seems an essential option on an information forum. I think all the negative buttons should be scrapped and, personally, I don't think I am very interested in the mood buttons - when I find them, that is.

It's certainly not quick but I think I've been noticing that for a few weeks now.

I too get the checkerboard effect when I scroll.

One 'feature' which seems to repeat itself is what has been recently posted, ie, it is in Spy, under Chat and between the Staff online and the Users.

I agree with the repeat of the latest post thing.

i don't think the chat box needs it.

Webmaster if you want it back on nate you can enable from the options for the chatbox

Everything "restarted" as part of this upgrade? If so would you expect to see side-effects of a memory leak so soon afterwards?

I believe the leak comes from something else on our server, not related to xenforo, a full reboot of the server however would be beneficial i believe

        *reboots via ssh*

I think the log on box/sign in box is much too small and being stuck up in the top corner is the wrong place. It needs to be more prominent and be more central where it falls easily on the eye on the new visitor searching for it.:coffee:

we can make some changes however, maybe on sidebar
