Don't remember that . I thought it was all canned laughter as it was filmed on set.

Very pure and dark - bit of a milk chocolate pleb myself! But learning about the plant from start to finish was most rewarding. I hope to put on a little "show" for GC - if I can work out how,
      Jenny

Life must have been easier then.

Perhaps if you're out in the early hours, for the most part, you were either the post man or a burglar. Certainly when I was a kid the doors were only locked at night, because the day was for honest people and the night was for baddies:)

heh - Back safe & sound ; I spent a fair bit of time wandering around the souq but couldnt find any garden related things, unless you count the poor little birds in cages (Must.. Not.. Let.. Go...) but do have a rather nice new rug for £9 & some cheap ciggies.

Things were different in those days :old: :)

In the late 50's we used to catch the bus to the 'West End' on a Saturday night. It was all live music at the clubs and coffee bars until La Discotheque opened in Wardour street (I think it was about 1960). They were the first club to only play records. We used to fall out of places like that around 3 a.m. and walk the 6 miles home - unless we'd had a girl with us. Then it was a taxi :). There was never any trouble being out late in those days. :blue thumb:

There were a lot of interesting clubs and coffee bars around that area. We used to go to La Macabre coffe bar where the tables were coffins and there were skeletons hanging around and the lighting (what little there was) was small lights inside skulls! Wiki says it was in Wardour Street but it wasn't. It was in Meard Street just off Wardour St. A great place to meet! :snork:
