I am really upset :( on the advertising.

Not sure if FB has done this in my case though they obviously use past FB activity as a prompt for suggestions. In fact, I find it quite difficult to find people I know who are on my email list as loads of my friends are not interested in FB.

 

Ahh, i didn't see the ad's, because i delete history and cookies on exit

I've seen when you log on here GC that there are a number of companys tracking can they see any passwords being it's open forum ??
no S and padlock in the address bar

I have blocked all tracking but only thinking can they see

 

I don't see any ads, but then I use a pop-up blocker on my browser.

 

I had the same thing happen to me last night and when i clicked on the unfriended bit to see who no longer wanted to be my friend it came up with loads of adverts so i quickly moved away as i didn't want to accidently click on an advert by mistake

Two changes ago I accidently clicked on a couple of users names on this forum as i was still trying to find my way around and clicking everything in site so now I am following a couple of members but worry now that they might think i am stalking them .

I didn't realise that you can get adverts on here according to other websites you visit.I was looking at jewellery{rings}before Christmas and the next day on this site all i could see was adverts for the same rings i was looking at and the same website.Luckily the shop Mr Kandy bought my ring from hasn't bombarded me with adverts on here and sice Christmas the adverts have changed to other things so i can go back to ignoring them.
