My son wanted to grow some peas the other day. Its far, far too early yet, but I don't like bust his enthusiasm, so he put half a dozen peas in a small pot of compost and left it in the living room near the fire where its warm.

Most of them have sprouted already:dbgrtmb:

Can't see why not. Doesn't matter what produces the warmth. As long as its not too warm for them of course. Just don't put them in the wood stove:)

We dont want her to lose anymore space in her play area so we are going to put her pots at the front of the roseborder so she dosent go scrambling through the rose bushes trying to get to her pots.

a bit behind on the seed sowing and need to make more space for her and sort out the lawn. I think i am going to re lawn seed the triangle border to make her more space as she is growing so fast. everything i sowed survived except the nasturtiums which clueless feared might not make it as i planted them so early. lesson learned :)
Will get pics up over the next few weeks of her progress. She can now identify a rose a daffodil and a tomato plant seed so thats progress.
