Wild flower or escapee?

    I took these pics in late April last year of some flowers growing wild at Axmouth Harbour, East Devon as I didn't have a clue what they were:

    My intuition is saying that's of the Genus Trifolium as it looks quite similar, but probably introduced but I've not seen it before
