Ive a friend who lives not that far from us, he's ex forces and he lost both legs,
he has what he calls his hang up legs, but most of the time he's in the chair,

Last summer after a lot of trying i managed to get him to come to a bricante
(boot sale) and he noticed that people wer'e selling lots of kitchen cullenders
or is it colander's (as used for kitchen work, ie rinsing lettuce that sort of thing)

I'd not really noticed so many for sale "but he decided as these cost so little he'd buy 10 metal ones as he had an idea.

A week or so later i went round to see how he was, And you should have seen the results of those metal salad rinsing colenders,
He'd sprayed them a light blue colour drilled a hole in each handle and fitted light chain from one handle across to the other handle and filled each one with
herbs, mint and the like and then hung them 3 each side of the kitchen door one under the other,
it was good use of what was not wanted anymore, very cheap to buy and as he said the drainage holes are ready made.

    Good idea or what.

A great idea Moonraker. Some people have a natural ability to turn something from useless in to usable. :dbgrtmb:

One thing about military service, you use your inteligence and ingenuity, you certainly get into the habit of saying
"Now what can I use this for"?

        Cheers, (Ex crabfat), Tony.

        Hi loofah,
they do look good "really kitcheny "if there is such a ward" try hanging cherry toms in one, mint in another , tagets in another (these keep the green fly away and last all summer) and so on with herbs, it really gives that country cottage feel.
