Are you seriously Alkaline? Mine is somewhat alkaline, and it never seems to cause me any problems that bother me for Veg growing (well, some scab on spuds, but that comes off with the peeler!)

No Rhodies or Azaleas or anything like that, of course ..

I haven't sent a sample off for proper analysis, but going by my own tests, it measures at least 7.5, but I suspect it's around 8.0

It doesn't sound as though it should be a problem Freddy, but I am much more haphazard in my approach to growing Veg than you are, so I suspect that you are striving for a better product than me

I have no intention of being lured into sowing Tom seeds for weeks and weeks but I am always attracted to this Tomato growing thread.
I can't wait for it all to happen again too. Shouldn't be too long now though,
        keep chatting please,
        Jenny

Greenhouse STILL too cold, tomatoes can wait a month or two....... I'm going for quality, size and taste, need some sunshine for the taste bit........ but good luck to those starting early. :)

                Hello Chums:)

Well, all 'mucked' and structure put in place. Pics herewith....

I still have to treat the timber (plywood), and get hold of some polythene. I just hope it doesn't blow down! I was quite surprised though at how stable it became when I put in the braces at each end:blue thumb: Just need some tomatoes now:)

                Cheers...Freddy

So, plants in individual pots going in? The very "precious" varieties or what ever needs a refuge at the time?
Nice to be back in one way but I wish I was still out there :wub2:
