I've stopped making fat balls for the birds. If anyone that's coming to our Open Day this year wants the moulds they are welcome to them :blue thumb:

50kg of wild bird seed is £64.00
box of 200 fat balls £16.00
      Niger seed 2.5kg £2.50
      Meal worms 1.5kg £12.00

      Hungry birds very grateful.:dbgrtmb:

Lasts all winter, also I keep the wild bird seed in a plastic dustbin with a good sealed lid.
The others are in plastic tubs on shelving in the garage.
Lastly the feeders are washed and kept in the same place too.

Yes, I store my Bird Seed and Fat Balls food in two separate metal bins in the Garage. I know I get "visitors" into the Garage during the Winter and Spring on the search for shelter and food so I'm very careful not to spill any seed when taking it out of the Bin.
I took advantage of the dry weather and washed the Fat Ball feeder today and got rid of all the "gunge" lying in the big saucer at the bottom. It's now back on the feeding station with 4 new Fat Balls in it....and the Tits were straight there!!:snork:
