    :) Well hello everyone!!

I'm Kelly, 27, from South Shields and fairly new to gardening. I got into it as a hobby last year when my grandparents passed away and I moved into their old house. My granda spent his life in the garden, it was his pride and joy and it is stunning :) I promised them both I would keep it full of colour but never imagined I would end up hooked!

So I'm here to meet like minded friends and swap tips, I have already enjoyed looking pictures of people's beautiful plants! Nice to meet you all

    K x

Hi Kelly, welcome to Gardeners Corner. That's quite a responsibility you've got there, trying to keep the garden up to standard. Mind you, I don't think your Grandparents would have minded if you came up with a few ideas and changes of your own. They would want you to enjoy what was their garden and what is now yours, and continue to love it as I'm sure they did.:hapydancsmil:

Welcome to GC Kelly. There's somebody here to help you on almost any garden subject, with a little madness thrown in from time to time as well. :)

Wow thanks everyone, for making me feel so welcome :) when the frost eases off I am going to get stuck in - might as well learn by doing! I've decided I want to change the borders as they are straight and although the flowers are lovely, the shape looks quite harsh to me. Going to make them wavy and wider so I can keep my granda's plants, and contrast them with newer ones. I overwintered some seedlings that I planted last autumn so hopefully they will take off when I plant them out! Plenty of inspiration here to keep.me going with new ideas!
