I have a few Aporophyllum now val looking at my records (to many plants to know for certain just by looking :rolleyespink:) I have Aporophyllum 'mallisonii' (used to be called Aporocactus mallisonii but it's a confirmed hybrid now) Aporophyllum 'Marsha', Aporophyllum Kadootje, I also have Disocactus conzattii, Disocactus martianus, Disocactus flagelliformis (all previously Aporocactus) so getting on for a fare few! all just cuttings themselves at the moment but hopefully they will take off this year so your more than welcome to some cuttings in 2014 :dbgrtmb:

Ha I have over 100 cuttings now pete so more than enough to fill a second greenhouse once there all potted up! :hate-shocked:

one of the cuttings has a bud on it so it may grace me with a bloom this year but I really should remove it but I'm too much of a softy and I really want to see the flower :snork:

Good question... I'm not too sure to be honest but most hybrids will flower within about 4yrs from cutting some will bloom within 2yr's (or sooner if the cutting was taken from a mature stem with buds already forming) the species are another thing all together but I doubt it will be much longer than for the hybrids, I do know that some have plants which have never flowered and they usually go on the compost heap and they try again

That all depends on the growth habit of the plant Sal some will grow in a basket while others will grow upright and bushy :dunno: if they droop over the sides of the pot then it might like being in hanging basket otherwise a pot will work just as well
