    Hiya WOO.

My guess is that as long as it's already in a container, it should be fine. It should be dormant anyway:blue thumb:

Woo , have you just potted up ?? a new one ?? what variety is it ??

If so just keep it about 6 inches under the water stand on bricks if needed once the leaves reach the surface drop the basket by about two inches then keep doing that during the summer until you are happy with the depth it should be at , then in can stay their all year round.

Good evening Spruce my friend ,I have to purchase one and I am wondering where online to get it and what sort I will need as the pond is only a preformed one and measures 8 ft x 6 ft and only 24 inches deep:)

        Hi Woo

The ideal lily would be a miniature (formerly named dwarf or pygmaea !)
not just for the depth but the size of the pond 8 x 6.

        My choice would be :

        White , Snow Princess

Red , Pygmaea Rubra or Gypsy

lots of colours to choose from I would say leave a little longer to order March is ideal, they will be coming into growth and more suppliers will have the stock and the variety or even better put on the wanted list on here you never know I did similar last year and was pleasantly surprisedwith the PM's i had back.

wiseowl Woo I have added the link in the name so you can have a look whats on offer

Woo, if you would like a piece of this one you are welcome to it.
I'm not sure exactly what it is, but its not that rampant, has purple spotted leaves.
I bought it years ago as Sulphurea odorata but not entirely sure its true.
          Its not a miniature.

You might need some Barley Straw in there woo - to help combat the algae (takes 4 weeks to start working though ... stuff it in some old tights weighted at one end so that part of it floats)

I didn't know barley straw was supposed to float, mine has sunk, could be why its not working?

I'm sorry Woo, but when you PMed me I was assuming you wanted the red flowered waterlilly, that one is "attraction" and is quite large.
At the time I had forgotten about this thread where I was offering you the yellow one, which is slower growing.
                        Must have had a brainstorm.
See how that one goes and if it gets overlarge, we can sort out the yellow one for you next year.
