Good morning all. I hope everybody is up, its almost 8AM so yo should be:)

I'm only up because I've had to drag myself out of my cosy warm pit to check that something that's supposed to happen at 8AM actually does. If it doesn't, I even have to do work.

      Aloha everyone,

Brilliant photo, as usual, Woo :dbgrtmb:

Loli, I hope you're wrapped up warm when trotting round the garden ;)

Clueless, welcome to Wakey, Wakey :blue thumb:. I hope everything works out well for you at 8 a.m. and that you can burrow back into your pit. :) I didn't get up before 8 a.m. - as I haven't been to bed for six weeks :heehee:

We're having another sunny and frosty morning so I hope to get a little more done in the garden. I got some more of the edging done yesterday The cutting and shaping is not difficult but the bending to pick things up, and a little bit of weeding, is hard - but I got another 60ft done.

Once again, I was round at Barry's dealing with a form from Prudential. He was cashing in an endowment in order to buy a new mobility scooter. The form, as usual, wants copies of I.D. - a utility bill and either passport, driving licence or photo I.D. (they emphasise copies). This time I didn't have too much trouble with them on the phone. I pointed out that, apart from a utility bill, he doesn't possess any form of I.D. but they shouldn't require anything as I wanted the money paid back into the account that his Direct Debits, to them, had been coming from. It only took 10 seconds of insisting on talking to a supervisor and a 30 second conversation with the supervisor to have it all sorted out. Well done Prudential for not trying to do a 'jobsworth' on us. :dbgrtmb:

Keep warm and have a great day

      Aloha!

      Aloha everyone,

Loli, yes that's Amber's first job is to smell out where the fox has been, Mrs. Fox in our case. Not so frozen here, not too bad at all. Looks like I shall be able to get to my lunch date in Chelmsford, thankfully.

WOO another :wow: photo, you surpass yourself everytime. :ThankYou:

Shiney, Barry is a very lucky lad having you arround to help him out. I hope he gets his new scooter ok.

Clueless, nice to see you on here, hope whatever is supposed to happen happened so you could go back to bed.

Waves to Kandy, Jazmine, Penny et al, hope you are all well, take care all and have a good day. Snow on the way! That is if you haven't already got it.

      Aloha!:wub2:

        Morning all,

Sorry not been on much this week, bit down with ongoing problems, and SAD kicked in as well.

Have not done much this week, so will kick my self in the butt today and get things done.

Sorry to hear about other's problems, hope you get better soon.

Miserable weather today, supposed to get a bit of snow on Sunday, great!

Take care everyone, wrap up,and stay in the warm.;)

Hi Everyone, yes my meal was lovely and the company was great. Haven't laughed so much in a long time. Weather has not been that great it was trying to sleet or rain on the way home so I kept my speed down and let the idiots go. I think around 60-65 is plenty fast enough. It did my little car good to have a run out and blow the dust out of it's box.

Lili, hope you feel better soon dear. :doggieshmooze:

            Good Morning!

woo - at that time I was driving home (via country roads) having deposited my son at his school for an exchange trip. While we didn't have torrential rain, we had spits and spats. Trouble was, after driving out to the school (spits), waiting at the school (spats) giving Ozzy a wee break, more waiting ... by the time it came to driving home ... well suffice to say any flooding to the car would have been internal  So, mission objective: find a break in the clouds; find a suitable "watering" hole. Suffice to say, the local woods were my best friend :heehee:

I'm going back to bed shortly, and the highlight of my day will be ... I'm *not* cooking dinner! :dancy: With just 3 of us at home, Mr Mum has decreed that it will be lunch out later today :pathd:

Wishing all my forum friends a day filled with miles of smiles

            Aloha everyone,

Mum, have a nice lie-in and a lovely lunch :dbgrtmb:

It's 3C with drizzle and snow forecast but we'll be nice and snug in Shineyland :)

I made a nice meal last night. Marinated filleted chicken thighs (much cheaper and tastier than thighs) in oil, garlic, chopped chillies, fresh chopped coriander leaves, a number of freshly roasted and ground spices and then grilled it. Then I made a spiced rice made by frying, briefly, cinnamon sticks and cloves in oil then chucking in (technical chef's term) chopped onions, bay leaves and a touch of the spices used in the marinade. Then added tomatoes (blitzed), a touch of turmeric and a chicken stock cube and some water and cooked the rice in it. This was accompanied by some lovely fresh broccoli. Preparation time 30 minutes, total cooking time 30 minutes.

Gonna have my porridge now :heehee:, then cut Mrs Shiney's hair and then have a walk to the village (and back) before it snows.

Keep warm and dry and have a great day

            Aloha!

That must be tough to do. Do you have the silk sock to help you get them on? You can also get a metal frame to make it easier to get on.

I don't have any trouble getting them on because I put them on inside out. That puts the smoother side on the inside and it slides on much easier. I'm not sure how that would work with two of them
