Can I prune my roses now that they have new leaves?

    Can I prune now?
Living in the South West everything seems to have a timespan of it's own in the garden. Very little frost down here so my roses have started to shoot leaves earlier than expected on the old wood from last year. Two or three shoot at the moment and I'm unsure if I can prune them back or not. Don't want to do this and supress any chance of blooms later in the year. Bearing in mind we still had flower heads last year into December because it was so mild here. No idea how old the bushes are as I inherited them when we moved to the house.
Can I prune now or am I too late?
    Appreciate any advice

Good morning Debs my friend anytime between Feb/march is a good time to prune your Roses ,you won't loose any blooms, just keep an eye on your weather (Late Frosts)but IMHO in the south west you will be alright, look froward to seeing some photos of your Roses when they are in bloom:)

Thank you very much. Was worried that I may be too late. Seems such a shame now that they seem to have come to life, but I suppose it is a means to an end.
Will post pictures when they start to bloom. As far as I'm aware from last year they are all red too which is nice. Thanks for the advice x
