Canna ~2013~

I got a picture of this New Zealand canna not a great picture but will give the idea of the purple leaves in real light .



the leaves are strange and the flower is a real stunning color , every plants over there have naturally evolved in a new species .

Nice one freddy Im still waiting for my glaucas but il will have to get some more varieties in soak tomo or i will run out of time..nearly spring

 

When did you sow Joolz?

 

I nicked them with my sanding gadget on the 8th(i posted on here),then soaked for 2 days so they have been in the pots for 6 days now..maybe i planted them too deep this time or theyre just being lazy x

 

Ahh, my bad Anyway, I guess it's too early to give up on them, mine took a while

last year I had some canna seeds from Thailand (so far some where pink and some yellow) ....should I join you lot with the New Zealand canna challenge 2013??????

seen some really nice variety but no idea of the color I got .

 

I've not grown any from seed this year but just divided the three varieties I have.

 

You was right freddy,one has shown upx

 

Still only 1 showing on mine, but I've now moved them on to the heat mat!
It gives off more heat than the little heated propagator. So we will wait on see!

I got another 2 so now ive put all my seeds in soak
