Anyone cut the lawn yet ??

The grass hasn't stopped growing so it's had at least 3 cuts ...maybe 4...this winter. Cut it yesterday. Nothing quite like the smell of cut grass

 

It's difficult to mow a bog!

 

Yes I know everywhere is still boggy but my soil,is sandy loam and lawn is free draining. But, in the summer my lawn will prob dry up whereas others will have luxuriant green ones.

 

I have a sandy soil too Verdun but it's probably all the moss holding the water.

 

Cut last week, first of the year. A quick going over in December, can't remember when.

It's really suffered this Winter though, the kids haven't been bothered by the almost bog like area which was once a pristine lawn. Rather have them outside trying to kill each other in the fresh air than ruining the carpets though

 

But it's not summer yet

Just done the rear lawn and seems quite warm out now the breeze has dropped.
Balmy +7Degrees and sunny, slight cloud cover, and possibility of frost again tonight.

 

No, No, No Cutting As Yet . I Don't Yet Have A Pontoon Lawn Mower ,With A Side Excess Water Displacement Attachment .
Apart From That :What about the poor family of Ducks that have just moved in the Area ?.

Far Too wet to cut the grass, I will wait A Weeeeee Bit Longer for it to dry out a bit.
In the conditions in my area to Use a Mower in the present conditions would have no advantage, it would just rip the grass out the soil and also be Really Unsafe to use,
If Mower Is Electrical Driven..

 

Not done mine yet, but its been growing slowly for a few weeks now. Its dry enough, but I'm not mowing before March. I'm letting the roots build up some strength. That's my theory at least.
