Hello alexmac and thanks for your input, that's most useful.

I've added your selections for this year to post #1.

So Gardener's Delight is our favourite at the moment out of 71 different varieties being grown by our members. Closely followed by Sungold.

      The top list:
9 members are growing Gardeners Delight
      7 for Sungold F1
      4 for Ferline F1

Maybe I should take my own advice! So I'll be sowing these longer season varieties in a weeks time then :dbgrtmb:

So shall I update the list at post #1 by copying my selection to yours? I think the only extra one you will be growing (compared to me ) is Shirley?

I was a bit bothered that my CopyCat behaviour would distort the Statistics ... but there again maybe I over-think these things!!

        Amish Paste
        Black Cherry
        Black Krim
        Floridity
        Golden Sunrise
        New Girl
        Pink Brandywine

        Rosada
        Sungella
        Yellow Pear Beams

plus Shirley, Gardeners Delight and Sungold which you probably already have me totted up for

Sorry if I upset all you dedicated tomato enthusiasts but I'll be growing Moneymaker. marmande and something unpronouncible from Lidl. I get large crops and have plenty to freeze for pasta sauces through the Winter.

You're not the only one growing Moneymaker, 2 other members are too. It is a reliable heavy cropper and when I used to grow it the taste was OK compared to supermarket bought ones.

I'll add your selection to the list at post #1.

Thanks Armandii, have you grown Black Seaman and Jaune Flamme before? I'd never heard of them, google says they are good choices.

Hi JWK, the answer is.........no, I haven't grown those two varieties before. I had a bit of a look around looking for the type of tomato I like and they, from the description fitted the bill, so they should compliment the others I'm growing. I'll let you know how I progress with those two.:coffee:
