I am fed up with this cold weather. I can tell that because we (OH and me ) are eating all the wrong things. I even had a fried cheese sandwich yesterday for tea - half with brown sauce on and half with tomato ketchup. Spring better hurry up or I'll be as big as a barn door.
So, what's about to go on the hob here?

Anyone else eating all "the wrong food ?" :nonofinger:

We're having steak burgers (handmade by our butcher) with wedges tonight - not the healthiest, but I don't really care as long as it tastes good! :oopss:

We are having a mishmash tonight- what ever leftover are in the fridge made into a spicy stir fry.
Have never got out of the habit from 20 odd years ago, when I would do my shopping on a Thursday, and wanted to clear out the fridge.

Just finished a Co-op truly indulgent chocolate millionaires pudding, and feel as sick as a dog, I can already feel a headache coming on.:gaah:

Ooooh, I forgot - after dinner, we have a lovely fruit cake (it will obviously last a lot longer than just today) that was made by the wife of a colleague and sent in to me as a gift (bless her). She makes THE best fruit cake I have had in years, so I am really looking forward to it.

There has to be a good few of my five a day in there too - raisins, cherries......

For some reason, past 2 days i've eaten Cornflakes & fruit for lunch:scratch:

Had pretend sheep & onions, mashed potato with gravy and french beans for lunch today.

Still no decent veggie sosages in either of the local tescos, worried meat eaters still i'm guessing. Don't google "Human DNA lamb Tesco":runforhills:

I'm throwing together a basic mid-week roast; we've all been a little under par one way or another so it's easy to just pop it all in the oven, return a bit later and it's pretty much done.

I don't tend to make desserts, as a general rule

But, in answer to your question, Jenny; the cold weather does tend to make people eat more and as it's clearly not salad weather, then I guess the "wrong" things have no choice but to fill the void :heehee:

Loli - I am in awe of your fundraising stamina! :heehee:

We're eating relatively healthily, roast veg, chicken, healthy stews and fish pies, fish, etc...

Since putting on a bit of beef ( or horse!!) I've been not indulging in big meals and treats. I've swopped crackers and cheese for ryevita with low fat spread, salads for lunch or just plain old ham sarnies, no choccy biccies etc...

Plus side, lost 1/2 stone, no excercise just cutting down portion size and not eating late at night.

Treated us to fish and chips from the best chippy in the land yesterday. For the first time ever, I opted for the small portion. That must be healthy. That combined with the fact that it was fish, and potatoes. Albeit deep fried.
