Not that I am impulsive when it comes to buying seeds.........

I bought some 'Millefleur' Yellow Vine Tomato seeds from The Real Seed Catalogue last week (its all Kristen's fault- honest!) - - anyway, I am looking for opinions/advice as I have never seen anything like them before.

Am I correct in assuming that as they are called vine tomatoes that they should be pinched out to one single growing stem, as I did with the moneymakers last year? What height should I expect these to get to? And should is it worthwhile going 50/50 outdoors to greenhouse?

Yes, thats the way to do it.

I don't know that variety, but I'd treat it the same a moneymaker, keep it growing till at least 6 trusses, then if it's reached the greenhouse roof nip out the growing tip.

It's up to you depending on having enough growing space. I recall you are growing Ferline which is more suitable for outdoors as it has some blight resistance, so personally I'd just stick with growing one or two plants in the greenhouse this year to see how it goes (after all you might hate the taste!).

I'm not doing Ferline John - I am growing Faworyt,Maskotka, Marmande and Ailsa Craig and now these Millefleur.

We are going to be eating so much tomato this year, we will probably all LOOK like tomatoes by autumn

I have spent most of the morning removing a Sycamore which was beginning to shade my greenhouse. It was in my neighbours property - and all I had to say was that it was becoming a nuisance - and I was given full permission to remove it.
I have always had wonderful neighbours and I am constantly bemused by neighbours that fall out about things that really do not matter when it comes to a desire of cohabiting in a neighbourhood that actually works.,
