I don't really do much oriental cooking. I'm a bit of a traditionalist with my cooking.

Will defiantly buy some Lemon Balm if I can find it in the garden centres next week.

Does anyone use a lot of Dill? I understand it's an annual and wonder if it's worth the effort of growing every year. Am thinking about growing some chamomile too, but don't like the tea, (perhaps I made it wrong when I had it last) but thought it might be a useful herb to have in the garden.

How should chamomile tea taste anyway? I found it tasted really bitter when I had it last. But didn't add any milk, lemon, sugar or honey too it.

I've been building myself a nice missile for the back garden as a bit of feature.

For my birthday yesterday the other half took me out to buy a few plants.

                  Bought the following

                  1x Sweet Bay Shrub
                  5 x Chive plants
                  2 x Curly Leaved Parsley
                  1 x Golden Marjoram
                  2 X French Tarragon
                  1 x Sage
                  1 x Fatsia Japonica
                  1 x Honeysuckle "Halliana"

Was tempted to buy a Nandina shrub reduced from £50 to £5 but didn't. Will hopefully buy a few more today but the ones I'm after seem a little more hard to find

:wow: I have just read this thread from start to finish Jane you are an incredible worker. You have done a brilliant job. I would love to come and see your garden you cannot be all that far from me. Take care and do have a rest sometime. I suppose you now have all those plants to put in.

Belated birthday wishes by the way!:hpybtd:

Haven't really done much because of the awful wet weather we have been having. I've got quite a few things to paint outside and I just can't do them because it's so wet or cold.

Work on the gate has began and it's shaping up nicely. This will be a double gate and is being made by Mr JJ.

Here's some progress shots he's taken up to the halfway point.
