Mr And Mrs Shiney invite you to enjoy a walk around their garden
and relax over some homemade cakes and a cup of tea or coffee
There will be the usual large amount of plants for sale

As usual I shall be giving a private tour to GC members at 11.30 on Saturday and you are then welcome to join Mrs shiney and myself for a sandwich and a cuppa. If you are unable to make it for that time then you will still be most welcome any other time - but you may miss meeting the other members.

We are half way between junctions 7 and 8 on the M11 (15 minutes from both) and 15-20 minute from Hertford and Chelmsford. For those of you flying in to Stansted we are 15 minutes from there as well
    .

PM me for detailed driving instructions and, if you shall be staying in the area overnight, links to accomodation

This is the link to a preview I put on GC four years ago

Those of you that will be staying until late, or overnight in the area are most welcome to join us at the local Indian restaurant for dinner. This is an annual tradition on both Saturday and Sunday nights where helpers and friends get together. We were fortunate enough to have quite a few GC members join us last year and look forward to as many (or more) doing so, again, this year. :dbgrtmb:

Definitely looking forward to coming without all the anxiety I had last year. I have come a long way since then. It has opened my life up so that I can now go out to lunch with friends once in a while which I couldn't do before because of the aggraphobia I was suffering. There is still a small amount of feeling anxious about driving all that way on my own and meeting people but nothing like that which I went through last year to make the trip.:)

Lol! Me thinks I could combine both as we will need a leg stretch at some point. Is a mad cocker spaniel kept on a tight leash welcome Shiney?

Ahhh Shiney, you know my predicament but I will be there in heart and mind. I hope it's successful again for you and Mrs. Shiney and everyone from GC has a great time. Good luck! :dbgrtmb:

I'll have to busy myself with a camera and a lot of leather clad males! :heehee:

Hi Yvonne, it will be good to see you :dbgrtmb:. In the past, dogs weren't allowed as Oscar the cat was the boss of Shineyland. He was a most lovable cat but had a rule that no dogs were allowed in his garden. Alsatians, Doberman and any dog would not dare stay in the garden if confronted by Oscar.

Sadly, he is no longer with us. So, dogs kept under control are welcome. You just need to realise that there may be a lot of people and some dogs don't like a lot of people around them.

It's not much of a detour for you if you're going through the Chunnel. :blue thumb: It only adds 21 miles to the journey and may make for a quicker route as you'll avoid the M1. You'll use the M6 - A14 - M11.
