I've been having problems recently accessing my Natwest bank accout,(nothing to do with their problems the other night), I normally use Firefox, but once I go on the Nat west site Firefox just freezes my PC and I have to turn it off and do a restart.
The whole of firefox just stops working.

So I down loaded Chrome, I can get in via Chrome and was thinking of using it all the time, at the moment it seems a bit faster.
But when I go to Add ons, it always says Add ons for Internet Explorer.
Now am I wrong, but isn't that a different browser again?

I'm getting confused by all this.
    Anyone able to explain please?

Go to chrome setting and check out ads on it may help you to solve this problem. If this problem is not solved then you can use any other browser like maxthon, opera or safari etc.

How are you getting to "Add ons" Pete? If from Control Panel then that's the IE route.

The Extensions for Chrome, as C1 mentioned, are accessed from within Chrome by clicking the icon top right "Customise and control Google Chrome" and choosing TOOLS and then EXTENSIONS. That will show you what has installed, let you disable one, and so on.

You can install new ones by going to the Directory of Extensions on the Chrome site and when you find one you want there will be a button to install it - usually in pretty much a single-click process - using the link that C1 provided.

Yes thanks Kristen, I often dont look around enough on these things.
If I dont find what I'm looking for I get fed up very quickly.

I think I've found it now, there was a button at the base of the page entitled apps, when I clicked it, it took me to the chrome website where everything is.

Well I know where that button is, BUT ... if you find any Chrome Apps/Extensions that you like would you let me know please as I haven't bothered to try to find any bar some that chums have suggested? :heehee:

        I have:

Adblock Plus ... ermm ... it Blocks Ads :)
        https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/cfhdojbkjhnklbpkdaibdccddilifddb

Session Buddy - makes a stored list of all the TABs I have open. IF (has happened, but very rarely) Chrome crashes and then fails to open all the original TABs then Session Buddy should save the day. You can also save a bunch of TABs, close them, and then reopen them later "as a set". Might be useful to "park" some research or a while, but my reason for using it is in case Chrome fails to reopen all my TABs and I can't remember what I was doing that was so important!

Pinterest - click a ToolBar Button and it displays all the images on the page and lets you choose one to save to your Pinterest account. Of course you need a Pinterest account, and you need to care that a Pinterest account is something that you care to have :)

Delicious Tools - won't be of any interest unless you use the appallingly named website del.icio.us
