I hate to say it, but I struggle to see how it is unfair. To send a parcel by private courier often costs more, and to take it yourself would cost 10 times as much.

8cm, thats's just over 3ins in real terms.

I'm glad they have listened to feedback and simplified it all.
cant make head nor tail of it myself.

Well considering the price has effectively risen by more than 110% I would suggest that's a little bit of a shocker.

      2nd class - was £2.20, now £5.20
      1st class - was £2.70, now £5.65

There are couriers who will send small parcels for about £3 now.

Handy for one offs, but for multiples I dunno.

One way or another, we will all feel the affect of this.

That will effectively kill off most of my buying and selling on Ebay.

I'll investigate couriers but they are nowhere near as convenient as Royal Mail.

Just had a look and it seems that a small parcel could go for about £3 with a courier. If you can drop it off at a depot it could be fairly convenient.

Not sure what I think about the price rises - I would like to support RM because it provides an excellent service in general, and a huge range of services which I don't want to lose.

Any loyalty I had to Royal Mail has disappeared unfortunately.

If I was relying on them then they would have effectively put me out of business.
