I'm more worried about coming back from work and discovering a bonfire in the back garden :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

I'd best not tell her that I've got

      • 10 cuttings arriving any day now which I purchased
      • + another 4 from someone else I bought
      • + unknown amount as a gift from a hybridiser in Germany
      • oh and then 2 I bought on eBay also from Germany
I think that the 50m roll of bubble wrap arriving today was pretty much the last straw as it didn't even fit through our front door...

Yeah, normally that would do for me too, but this is 24 yards by 19 yards, and there are adjacent young hedges intruding at various points which made it a bit hard to judge by eye ... well, that's my story anyway!

Okay, you win Kristen. :) Granted, it needs a bit more than an eye and a spade.

Well my Alliplugs for the Greenhouse didn't arrive today (typical as I'm working for the next few days...) but my pack of 10 mystery cuttings from the nursery in the Netherlands arrived today  some uncommon ones this side of the channel included so that's nice and I received a message from a private seller to say that they've been unwell so haven't managed to get my cuttings in the post but that they will stick something extra in as a bonus to compensate :hapydancsmil:

Yesterday: removed cloche from endive. Turned it back into strawberry netting. Made phantom seedbed. Pulled nettles in the churchyard. Well, that's kind of our garden too. Must try my new recipes for nettle soup!

Well, today I have found out that my 2 teenage sons do have a use after all!! :heehee: Oldest put up a bird box on the back wall of the house. Youngest removed broken fence panel then helped me start on the weeding of the veg patch getting it up and running again, then oldest trimmed the hedge & we 3 slotted in the new fence panel. After that they were so exahusted and in shock from getting some fresh air, sunshine & having done some work they went inside to recover in front of their x-boxes - but not before oldest brought me out a lovely mug of char!! :thud: :thud: :thud: :thud:

                          Pampered Honey Bee! :dbgrtmb:

Rain's almost stopped play here. Checked the plants in my greenhouse and sowed more seeds to fill another empty spot in my electric propagator. :)
