There was some 'snow' this morning that was so fine it settled on spiders' webs and I can't recall seeing that before.

I worked from home today and the weather was bright and Sunny most of the time. The wind was quite strong though and bitterly cold making it very uncomfortable to be outside for any length of time even with a big jacket on. Then to give an extra emphasis on the Winter still with us we had frequent snow showers although it didn't stick on the ground.:coffee:

I'm sitting here and my feet are cold,so is my nose and my fingertips. It's rediculous! All the heat sources are fully engaged. The front door keyhole has sellotape over it and there's parcel tape all round the front door. Could'nt escape in a hurry - even if we wanted to. I'm thinking of sleeping the fridge tonight - it's gotta be warmer than the front, north east facing bedroom. The snow is building up on the outside windowledge,
          :cry3: :help: :please:

An absolutely freezing cold day, one minute we had clear skies and sunshine and the next a blizzard of biblical proportions, reducing visibility so much we couldn't see the end of the garden. Within 20 mins an inch of snow was dumped on the ground but the sun came back to melt it, then after 30 mins or so - blizzard again and thats how it been all day. But the worst thing has been the easterly wind which has just been pure evil :runforhills: , coldest wind I can remember, god knows what the wind chill was on it!! :rolleyespink:

              Ye gods, what a day!
Frequent and very heavy snow showers all day, driven along by a strong and bitterly cold north-easterly wind.
Much of the snow was of the fine powdery kind, so even when it wasn't actually snowing, the gusty wind was blowing it off roofs and picking it up off the ground in face stinging blasts.
Interesting drive home from work too, strong blustery winds and a virtual white-out as I drove across the Orwell bridge (high, long and very exposed for those who don't know it) made for an 'exciting' driving experience.
The day did have its funnier moments though. Opened the hatch to let the chickens out first thing this morning, usually they all pile out in one mad rush. First one popped its head out then thought 'what the...?' and stopped dead. The rest kept on coming, resulting in a bit of a poultry pile-up. :lolpt: :chicken:
Also managed to do a comedy pratfall in the yard at a builders merchant this morning when I slipped on the snow. Made a few builders laugh anyway.

                Same here bilbo.
This snow reminded me of the snow they get in Edmonton, Canada when I go to see my parents.
Very dry and snakes around everywhere.
Snowing again here and the wind is howling still!
                -3 outside and dropping

Beautiful blue sky and sunshine one moment followed by a snow shower the next, that's how it's been all day and very rare on the island in March. 3C

Very unusual to see the snow settling there, we also had snow here but it melted as soon as it hit the ground.. we also got 3C today :blue thumb:

                    Currently freezing cold, -1.6C

I've lived here twenty years Stephen and remember snow just once at Easter, which we're not far away from now but we don't usually see it beyond February if at all. :)

Yep same here, snow is very rare past mid March, let alone severe cold windchill. If we get a cold summer, then I'll be completely disillusioned!
