I got a couple of different varieties from the seed swap , so as well as my usual Gardeners Delight and Marmande I'm trying Japanese Black Truffle and Abe Lincoln, look interesting.

 

I'm attempting Gardener's Delight, Alicante and Principe Borghese. First attempt so wish me luck

Tommorrow i 'should' be the proud owner of a new propagator.....my last one has gone kaput.....so i will try my third attempt at germinating my Stonor Toms....at least that's what i'm blaming for them not coming up.... we'll see what happens

Where do you grow your Marmande? How do you get on with them? I assume they're not of the 'Super' variety?

 

Hi Freddie no they're not the super variety,thats probably one to try , see who can grow the biggest tomato , I grow them in the greenhouse in growbags, but only two to a bag and I use those black bottomless tomato pots on top of the growbags to give them more root space,and the usual water every day and feed weekly once fruit starts to set, found that watering iregularly causes them to split, only discovered this after leaving them in the hands of our daughters while we were away , weren't so good last year which I suppose not many peoples where due to lack of sun but usually they're lovely although I've never had large amounts of fruit but they are really huge my husbands favourites, one slice fills a sandwiche.
