    Morning everyone,

We got some snow overnight, just a dusting really but enough to tick you off!!

I'm off today to Toronto, good thing the roads are bare.

Need to water all my seedlings today too, cant wait to plant them out.

    Anyhoo, enjoy your day everyone.

If it were up to just my own son, Moyra, it would be easy to deal with.
Of my son's year group, there are only 3 of them who are part of the exchange; the remaining 15 belong to the year below them, yet, as the majority, they are calling the shots! Peer pressure can be very difficult to put your foot down into :wallbanging:

Oh dear Mum, I think I would still insist. I had a similar situation when my daughter had a french exchange student. I had to get quite cross in the end because they threw our exchange student in the lake on the night before she was due to go home and I had washed all her clothes and everything to send her back cleaner than when she came. Oh boy I earned my cb handle rusty scissors because I said if I caught hold of the boys responsible then I would cut their lower anatomy off with a pair of rusty scissors. My cb handle stuck from then on! Everyone was asking if I was an ex hairdresser. But the boys never underestimated me again! I was I suppose quite strict in some ways with my two but in other ways they were spoilt rotten.

That is so funny, Moyra :heehee:

Tonight, they did come home for our evening meal; but Joan ate very little "in Spain we eat late" ... if he should say that again, I think I will (politely) point out that, as part of the English culture, it is quite usual to have our evening meal between 5-7pm.

If that fails ... I'll consider the scissors ;) :heehee:

          Aloha everyone,

Mum, it seems as though you've been having it a bit rough with the students. You want to put your foot down - on their heads! :heehee:

I must be part of the Spanish culture :) as I only eat before 7.30 if I have to go out early. It's not unusual for me to serve up dinner between 8 and 9, and occasionally don't cook my dinner until between 11 and midnight (when I get back from the club).

We did a lot of driving around yesterday so may have a bit of a quiet day today. I'll wait till the boss wakes up and makes the decision. ;)

As we've been out and about for the last two days I've spent the last two and a half hours catching up on my emails. It gets a bit tedious sometimes.

Keep warm and have a great day.

          Aloha!

              Morning everyone,

Its cold here this morning, windchills here, supposed to be cold all weekend.
I was in Toronto most of the day yesterday, and Brad and i decided to drive down and get Kait lastnight instead of today, left at 4:30 and got home right at 10. Kind of nice that we dont have to do it today.

I'm off at 9 to get my manicure done, and then have some shopping to do, as well as want to get my fridge cleaned out today, since i am down to Toronto again tomorrow.

              Enjoy your day everyone.

                Aloha everyone,

Although it rained on and off yesterday we still went out for a wander around and visited some museums. The girls wanted to visit an embroidery museum so it was lucky that I took a book with me. :heehee:

Keep well and have a great day

                Aloha!

                  Aloha everyone,

Well the sun is beginning to dry it up out there after a night of rain, but I suspect we have some more rain to come.

Loli, if you cannot get out into the garden this weekend it might make you rest which will do you some good.

Embroidery Museum sounds interesting Shiney but I can understand your lack of interest. Hope it was a good book!

Where's our WOO, hope you are ok dear.

Waves to Kandy, Mum, Penny et al. Hope you all have a good day everyone.

Just popping in to make sure everyone is okay and we're all not too wet all cold from this weather. Spring must be on the way. I bought a small haversack to carry my gear around easily when I get the chance to have a walk around the nearby Nature Reserves....hurry up the good weather. My cats make quick trips out into the garden but are soon back as they dislike the showers and cold wind, and they also come in when scolded by the resident Blackbirds for coming too close!!:cat-kittyandsmiley:

I am glad the blackbirds are in control Armandii. I don't have any cats of my own but there are loads of the neighbours cats come visiting and harassing our birds so it is a cold bucket of water if we catch them. A right fright if Amber catches them!

I am about to pull the plug on my pc so I am off to the Goodnight Thread. Take care Armandii, hope we get that weather we keep praying for. :dbgrtmb:

                      Aloha everyone,

We had a nice walk yesterday and it was fairly warm, but there was very thick mist with dripping water everywhere. It created a a lovely eerie and mysterious atmosphere. I took some photos and hope they come out OK. If so, I'll post some next week. :blue thumb:

Loli, I told you to be careful! :nonofinger: But you still managed to give me your stinking cold :sick0026: :heehee: I think I'll take it easy today. :)

Keep well and have a great day
