After doing jobs in the garden I drove over to Moore Nature Reserve for a few hours as I wanted to have a look at some of the other lakes there. The light was not the best for taking pics as it was light one minute and dark the next, and it was a cold light without any warmth in it making colours look flat and less vivid. Still here's some of the shots I took.

This is the first new lake I went to. It has a wooden hide that overlooks the lake and gives you this view:

This is another lake called the Pump House Lake:

I'm learning that taking really good pics of wild fowl or other birds ain't as easy as I thought!!! I need lots of practice and patience, I guess.

Pretty darn good photos considering the low light!

It was just one of the few bright moments when the blue sky got reflected in the water in a day where the light gradually got worse and worse.

Thanks Dave, coming from a camera wielder of your calibre that's appreciated:thumbsup: :snork: It was such a cold light that made it hard to find the right angle to get some warmth and life into a shot I'm going to enjoy this year learning to get know how to use the lens and the light for a good shot.

There have been plenty of times when I've pressed the shutter and the bird have disappeared believe me, Sheal!!!! Trying to catch them as they dive underwater is very tricky to say the least.:gaah: :snork:
