How do i introduce this topic without looking like a weirdo?

Of course, it also depends whether you believe in the Copernican Principle or the Anthropic Principle.

But don't forget about Pixel the cat ("The Cat Who Walked Through Walls"). In the book of that name, Pixel could appear wherever he wanted and could just walk through walls. It was explained that Pixel is too young to know that such behavior is impossible.

So it's all in the power of the mind. You can do it if you really believe it.

Now Pixel reminds me of Schroedinger's Cat (you can look it up ) but Cecil Adams explained it quite well.
