      That is beautiful!

      Is it difficult to grow?

      Hi Mum :)

It is no more difficult to grow than your standard geranium, very easy from cuttings.

Really? That's good; it looks so exotic and ... delicate.

It is definately on my "wish list"; thank you for posting it :dbgrtmb:

My favourite is Frank Headley. Always have to have one in a pot somewhere- love the flower and leaf colours together,

I would like to grow this lovely pelargonium, Renata parsley, or P.splendide which is similar. I just love the contrast between the two colours of petals. I bought one a few years ago but I didn't get it through the winter of 2010.

Otherwise, P. tomentosum is an absolute must. Minty velvet leaves, mmmm.

In terms of bedding pelargoniums I only buy single flowered ones, absolutely no fluffy doubles or peach or pale pink. I like big round heads in bright pure, white, red, deep pink or orange. My absolute favourites are the deep shocking pink ones with the flush of red at the base of the petals. I like planting them three of the same in a tub for maximum impact.

              Hi Jenny

Good choice, Its possible I may have had something similar in the past but I don't remember it having the name Frank Headley.

              Hi madahhlia

Are you psychic? or can I just claim that 'great minds think alike' because the two pictures you have put up are my absolute favourite pelargoniums!
Similar to you I had & have lost P. splendide about 10 years ago(I think it used to be called P. violareum).
As for P. tomentosum, I took a pic earlier today to post on here but it says error: the file is too big, so I can't show you the pic of my surviving plant  But it has long been a favourite of mine despite having nearly lost it a few times over the years including this winter, you are right of course, its scent is magnificent!

Success! This is what survives of my P. tomentosum, I'm sure it will grow as or if the weather ever improves :heehee:

They grow pretty quick, if you can take a couple of cuttings off this one as it expands, you could plant three in a tub and get a similar effect to the one above by August.
