    Has anyone used morrisons own compost? I went today to buy some shopping bits, and stumbled across there own brand of compost you can get 2 bags at 20l for £3.25 or 2 bags at 40l for £5 Just wondered if it was worth a buy

    No I haven't used it , but looks a good price, give it a go and feedback please.
    I used to be a sales rep and I remember a retail buyer saying own brand was usually good quality because if it wasn't it reflected badly on the company.

      Yeah for £5 quid it's nuthin really, got some spring onions I wanna sow and some other bits I wanna get on the go at the weekend, so wanted to see if anyone else had used it and had good things to say about it!

      My local garden centre is selling J Arthur Bowers multi purpose 65L bags at 3 for £12 - 6.15p /L

      2 bags at 40l for £5 = 6.25p / L

      Nothing much in it really.

      I was thinking more towards the quality of the compost, and the end results by using it as apose to using the more expensive better quality ones.

      I got a couple of bags last year Dan and if i remember rightly it wasn't bad at all.....a whole lot better than Homebase's own especially:dbgrtmb:

        Ah, OK. My garden centre has open bags of composts so you can see what you buying. Having said that it seems to vary hugely - from one batch to another, let alone one brand to another. I've always been happy with the J Arthur Bowers multi purpose - mainly because that's what the local garden centre sells and thus its convenient.
